About Us

A little History

An Irishman in a French Bakery? Qu’est-ce que c’est? It’s true! Owner and Baker, Ian Parent learned everything about baking the French way from previous owner Lucien DeGioanni, in his four years of managing La Petite France between 1994-1997. That’s also when he invented the now famous Almond Raisin Chicken Salad sandwich. In 2005, after Lucien had returned to France, the opportunity to own the Cafe came up and Ian, a Boarshead sales rep at the time, jumped at the chance. Having worked in several local delicatessens and as a salesman and trainer for the local Boars Head Brand distributorship, it was a perfect fit. He is well trained on the ins & outs of delis, how to build creative sandwiches with great ingredients and how to make the best hand made bread around! And at La Petite France Cafe it’s the BREAD that makes the SANDWICH!

Whether you favor the huge blueberry muffin, or desire a delicious almond croissant, La Petite France Cafe is a great place for a bite to eat, a breakfast or lunch meeting. Or you you just stop by to grab a coffee or tea to go, or pick up a Baguette for dinner! During the holidays send a gift basket to a client, or order a bread basket for your holiday table. If you can’t make it to the cafe, stop by Cape Cod Package Store (Sat) or Lamberts Market in Centerville to pick up a baguette, delivered fresh daily. If you’re headed out for dinner you can enjoy our bread being served with dinner at NoraBella, Route 28, Dennis.

Get that fresh baked taste at home by popping your baguette into a 350 oven for 3 minutes. If you don’t plan to finish your baguette, be sure to freeze any unused portions, then you can thaw and reheat when you’re ready to serve.
